Agree that a book can absolutely be great without being likeable (I have a strong inclination toward such books).

I do enjoy an unlikeable character as they usually shine a light on those parts of ourselves that we would rather not reveal - so even if I hate them, I understand them.

His answer! I loved this book and I loved Brooke! She was funny and that was almost enough for me lol (That part in the cafe with the woman that kept bumping into her..I'd like to ask the author about that! It was So Good!)

Agree! I don't mind an unlikable character but I found Brooke boring and opaque 😔 Mirror Made of Rain sounds amazing, adding to my list

Definitely, yes! I also read A Burning and loved it so much. My favorite part of the book is Lovely’s chapters. The tone of writing was perfect.
